Who Wants To Know How To Search From Homes In Tucson?
One of the reasons I came to Long Realty is that I got tired clients telling me that they found X property on the Long website. Now I hear, “I love your website. It is so easy to find homes.” As easy as it is to find Tucson real estate on the site there are some features many Tucson home buyers may be missing. I want buyers to have fun searching, so these explanations should make it more enjoyable to find a home in Tucson. At the bottom of each search is a save feature to set up a Virtual Home Search (VHS) for each category. You can save as many as you like. So lets walk through the features.
This is the easiest of all home searches. Zoom in on the geographical area preferred, set price range, built between (years), minimum number of bedrooms, etc. Then scroll to the bottom and click search. If you like what you see, don’t forget to save it and let the computer tell you when new listings come on the market.
The area search has more features to narrow the search to specific needs. It has a More Features function at the bottom of the screen to add more criteria; i.e., subdivisions, zip codes, school district, specific schools, cooling/air conditioning, guest facilities, etc. The more criteria, the fewer homes will show up on the search. Don’t forget to save the search if you like what you see.
If you are searching for homes in Marana, Oro Valley, Tucson, Green Valley, etc., you can search for homes in just those cities and townships. Like the map search the options are limited. The default number of homes for each search is 200. This is good for a general search to see what may be available in the area. Because of the default feature, not all homes in the area may be shown. Restricting the search to specific needs (i.e., number of bedrooms, price, etc.) will make sure that available home meeting your criteria are shown.
If in town for the week or weekend and you want to cruise through some Open Houses, you can look them up as well.
The radius home search feature is good for finding Tucson homes that are within one mile to 20 miles of the area preferred. In downtown Tucson the one mile will provide more than enough homes available. In Diamond Bell Ranch area a broader search would be better.
Luxury Home Search
For those who are looking to buy a home that is being offered for $800,000 or more the Luxury Home Search is the feature to show the get to those homes faster. Like the Area Search the Luxury home search has options to add more criteria. A variety of searches can be saved with this or any feature by saving the search, massaging the criteria and saving the adjusted criteria.
For those looking for an Active Adult Community this search is for you. It does not have the options that the Area Search and Luxury Home Search have. It does eliminated those areas that are not adult communities.
The Ranch Search is the narrowest of all searches. You have a choice of with or without a home, county, and price range. Thats it, no thrills.
You have the option of using a broader search to get started, then narrowing down the search to specific areas through the Area Search or Luxury home Search. You can have as many searches as you like. I do have a few suggestions.
- Start out with a broad home search for available Tucson homes, then narrow the search to specific needs.
- Name each saved search for what it is searching for; i.e., Central Area Homes, Oro Valley With Pool, Northwest Golf Properties, etc.
- E-mail or call me with questions you may have about an area to help you learn about the area and decide whether your are wasting your time and need to adjust to another area or slightly different criteria. Example: Wanting a $100,000 4 bedroom home in Catalina Foothills school district. Homes in Dist 16 (Catalina Foothills) range from $300,000 (if you are lucky) to $22,000,000. I can save you the frustration.
Now that you know, have fun and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Enjoy searching for homes in Tucson. All you have to do is go to the left side bar and click on Home Search or click on the search you like abot. I set up a Client Sign In feature on the top left to help returning searchers. Honoring my Sellers, check out their homes under featured Homes. Don’t forget to save your search. Save as many as you like. Have fun.

Long’s website is easy to navigate; it’s one of the benefits Buffet brings to your umbrella parent company. I appreciate your posts.
