The Naked Facts About Tucsons Clothing Optional Resort

Desert SunsetA client contacted me asking about Mira Vista Resort. I checked into it for them. Sure enough Mira Vista Resort is a clothing optional resort. I remember attending a very nice wedding for our oldest son’s friend at Mira Vista some months back. The portion of the resort we saw was impressive. There wasn’t a clue.

Ocasionally my wife and I like to spend the weekend at the hotel or resort where we attend weddings just to get away for a day or two. For some reason, this was not one of those occasions. Imagine our surprise the next morning had we decided to stay the entire weekend. I can see us asking in the future, “Oh, by the way you don’t happen to be a clothing optional resort are you?”

On their home page Mira Vista has a free day pass. Someone is probably thinking, “hmmmm.” Personally, not my cup of tea. But there are those less conservative then me. No judgment from me. Just as there are people who jump out of a perfectly good airplanes. Not for me. You can do it if you like.

From looking at their website, Mira Vista has a lot of interesting history. Founded in 1852 as a stage coach stop between St. Louis and San Francisco. During the 1930’s it was a dude ranch. In the 1980’s the ranch supported sheltering abused women. Most likely prior to clothing optional. Sold in 1997 the property went through $1,000,000 in renovation to include an Old West Town.

Names associated with the facility over the years are Geronimo, John Wayne, Greta Garbo, Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, Suzanne Somers and many others. One quote from the website is very interesting,

“As you walk the grounds and hear the wind whisper, you cannot help but wonder if ancient souls are secretly telling their stories through the sounds, sights, and smells. Take it all in and you will see that this truly is sacred land.”

Prices are reasonable from $90 to $130 a night. So, if you are daring and wanted to know, now you know where it is. For a free day pass you will need to go to their website. It’s on the home page. Just print and go.
