The Secret About Solar Homes
The secret about solar homes isn’t really a secret in Tucson. Solar homes have been in Tucson, Arizona for some years now. The most prominent communities are Civano and Armory Del Sol. Both are products of forward thinking by a 
gentleman named John Wesley Miller. A very private man who sees the advantages of an abundant source of energy. One of John’s designs in Armory Del Sol is nearly self sufficient for solar electrical energy.
Ten years ago while attending the University of Phoenix my study group wrote a business plan based on futuristic emerging industry. An existing company called Global Solar Energy was our model. Global Solar Energy, Inc. is a live vibrant company today. I remember that the panels were almost indestructible. Global Solar Energy was on the cutting edge of technology that would make solar energy not only economically feasible, but, mobile as well. The technology provided by Global Solar Energy was beneficial to our soldiers in Iraq.
US Representative Gabriel Gifford, who was recently elected to office, announced a panel of 25 Southern Arizona’s to develop proposals for boosting solar energy. Katheryn Kent from the Solar Store is an excellent selection. As is John Wesley Miller. Michael Gering, President and Chairman of Global Solar was another appointee. Good decision Rep. Gifford.
