What Everybody Ought To Know About Tucson’s Newest Golf Community
May 31st, 2007 categories: Tucson Golf Community
Palisades At The Pines will be holding a Grand Opening on Saturday, June 2, 2007. Located next to The Pines Golf Course and Golf Club, this is a truly unique community.
Homes will range from 2114 square feet up to 3012 square feet. I have been watching this community prepare for several months as I would pass by on the golf course. North of Tucson, its easy to jump on the freeway and head out to Phoenix, Casa Grande or even San Diego. Minutes from downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona, and Raytheon this is an ideal community located within the township of Marana.

From The Children
May 31st, 2007 categories: Just Because
I received this today and it brought several tears to my eyes. It may offend a few, but, it will touch the hearts of many. I wish I had this before Memorial Day. I know it has nothing to do with real estate. I wanted to share it with those who care. Those who remember. The slides are a true honor to those who served.
Presentation From The Children of Viet Nam Veterans
I remember. I served, but, I wasn’t there. I remember growing up watching the counts on the evening news, past friends whose names are forever inscribed. I remember on my 11th week of boot camp being called out onto the tarmack by our DI and being told we would not be going to Viet Nam. I remember well because it was my 20th birthday. I remember, to keep me humble. I remember so I can respect and appreciate our Men and Women serving in Iraq.
Semper Fi; not only to fellow Marines, but, to all who have served, are serving today, and who will serve in the future.

Top 7 Characteristics Your Realtor Needs
May 26th, 2007 categories: Real Estate News
Top 7 Characteristics Your Realtor Needs:
1. Honesty – When interviewing a Real Estate Agent look for honesty. Is the Agent answering your questions to apiece you or are they telling the truth. If each Realtor® comes in with a price higher than the previous, are they just trying to get on your good side to list your home? Be suspicious of those who promise too much. Can they really deliver what they say.
2. Strength – How strong is the Agent when you put out objections. If the Agent crumples under pressure this could be a good indicator of weakness during the negotiations between you and a buyer. A balanced level of strength to handle objections with empathetic understanding is ideal. Your Realtor® should have the ability to negotiate a win-win situation.

April Home Sale Update For Tucson
May 20th, 2007 categories: Tucson Real Estate
I reported Who Else Wants To Know About Home Sales In Tucson? on May 11th about the available statistics at that time for homes sales in the Tucson area. Better numbers are in. Actual home sales were 1,329. Though lower than I anticipated, when compared to previous years, excluding the frenzy years, Tucson’s real estate market remains strong.
Tucson’s MLS reported only 1,280 sales for the month. Its hard to get the numbers out when so many are late turning information in. As of May 19, 2007 the MLS search for April sales shows what I reported, 1,329.
Days On The Market (DOM) fell a few days from March. April’s DOM was 65, where March was 67. Not a significant number, but, a positive number.

Grand Valley Golf Course
May 17th, 2007 categories: Tucson Golf Courses
Grand Valley Golf course lies 40 minutes north of Tucson
As you pass through Eloy on your way to Phoenix or Casa Grande from Tucson you will see the Grand Valley Golf Course along the way. I have passed by this golf course hundreds of times on my travels to an from Phoenix. Curiosity settles in every time I pass by.
Curiosity no more. Today my son and daughter-in-law invited me to play the Grand Valley Course with them. This is the same course I mentioned in my blog Here’s A Quick Way to Help Make-A-Wish Foundation and Play Golf. Now I can enjoy the tournament having played this wonderful course.
